The recent PANDORA Pre-Autumn 2018 Collection featured lots of moveable jewellery and we have more designs in the Autumn Collection. At first glance the Family Locket Dangle appears to be a smooth silver heart but it opens up to reveal a secret... a pink enamel heart with the word ’Family’ in an italic script. A tiny pink crystal provides additional detail on the bale.

Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
