Identify your Pandora charm

By article number, hallmark, year or theme, in the free Pandora database.

The quickest way to identify a Pandora charm is its article number, such as 791676C01. It is printed on the price tag, the box label and the receipt, not on the charm itself. Type it into the Pandora database to see the charm's name, photos, year and launch price. Without the number, filter the database by year, collection and theme and compare the photos.

Where to find the article number

Pandora gives every piece an article number of six digits plus a code for the variant, for example 791676C01 or 798938C00. It is printed on the small price tag, on the label of the box and on the receipt or order confirmation. The charm itself only carries the hallmark. Older pieces sometimes have a shorter number without the letters.

Reading the hallmark

Turn the charm and look for the stamp, usually next to the hole. Sterling silver is stamped "S925 ALE", older pieces "925 ALE", 14k gold "G585 ALE". Pandora Shine and other plated pieces often read "ALE MET", Pandora Rose pieces can carry "ALE R". The stamp tells you the material and that the piece is meant to be Pandora; good fakes copy it, so compare the details with the photos of the original.

No number? Identify it by its look

Open the database and narrow it down: product type (charm, clip, dangle, spacer), year, collection and theme, such as hearts, animals or Disney. Then compare the photos. Look at the colours of the enamel and the stones, the shape of the core, and any text or engraving. Still unsure? Each piece page has a "Real or fake?" check.

Identified it? Collect it or sell it

Add the piece to your Vault to keep track of your collection, or list it for collectors who are looking for it.
