Dumbo is one of my favourite Disney characters and I was delighted when I heard PANDORA were going to release two new Dumbo charms. This beautiful silver dangle depicts when Mama Jumbo opens the her bundle from the stork, revealing adorable baby Dumbo! Two tiny blue enamel dots are set as Dumbo’s eyes and a single clear cubic zirconia stone decorates the bale. Plus a special pin connects Dumbo’s ears to his head, allowing them to move up and down. This super cute charm is already on my wish list!

Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
