The Pusula Pediculus, also known as Coffee Bean Shell is often used in jewellery as its opening is perfect for thread on a chain or leather thong. The new Coffee Bean Shell Charm has been designed in the same manner, and the bracelet chain passes through the middle of the shell. Subtle oxidisation emphasises the groves and clear cubic zirconia stones scatter the smooth surface. Country Exclusives USA Exclusive

Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
