Take a romantic trip down the famous Rialto Bridge on a traditional Venetian gondola. Shimmering clear cubic zirconia stones are set into this pretty scene and a hidden love is tucked in the middle of the bridge. Around the side of the openwork is a charming pattern of cut out hearts and the engraved word ’Venice’.

Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
