Jiminy hangs beneath a floating blue enamel umbrella, ready to help Pinocchio on his adventures. Always the gentleman, or gentle cricket, Jiminy is dressed with impeccable taste in his iconic top hat and tails. This wonderful charm really captures the essence of Walt Disney’s Pinocchio and it’s another one for my wish list!

Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
