The new year, 2020, hangs at the centre of this sparking dangle charm. Royal blue, sky blue and clear stones decorate the border, glittering like new year fireworks. The silver bale is engraved with a message including the words ’health & love’. If you can guess the missing words let me know in the comments below!

Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
