The new Mushroom & Frog charm is another of my favourites from the Autumn 2019 Collection. It is similar to the retired Fairy & Mushroom (791734) charm but includes more detail. Such as the little heart shaped door and the tiny crown on the frog’s head. Pandora Sweet Tree Monster Charm (798260NRG)$55 USD / £45 / €49 / $79 AUD / $60 CAD One of the most intriguing charms in the new collection is the Sweet Tree Monster charm. Emerald crystal eyes shine out from his heart shaped face and mismatched leaves dangle from his ’hands’. Other details include a tiny heart bellybutton and a heart & arrow tattoo etched in black enamel on his bark. Although I quite like the tree texture I am not overly keen on the tattoo aspect and find he reminds me too much of Groot! Pandora Home Sweet Heart Charm (798284CZ)$60 USD / £50 / €55 / $70 CAD Tucked in the Pandora Wonderland is a little fairy door filled with secrets. Dark oxidisation highlights the grain on the heart shaped door along with the hinges and window. Pretty flowers and toadstools surround the tiny house which opens to reveal the message ’Home sweet heart’.

Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
