Defiantly the most poignant and beautiful charm of the collection is the Princess Leia charm. Examining the background disc you will note the Death Star and Princess Leia home planet of Alderaan, moments before the Death Star completely destroyed it. The inscription "Don’t mess with this Princess." is not a movie quote but perhaps a references to the fact that Leia escaped and helped organise the destruction of the Death Star and her captor Moff Tarkin. Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
