This double dangle features Pegasus, the winged horse from Greek mythology. Poised on his rear hooves, Pegasus has open wings and is surrounded by a couple of stars. The cut out silver disc shows a vivd sky scene with hand painted pink and purple enamel. Fluffy silver clouds form partial cover for tiny stamped heart and stars beneath the enamel. A pattern of hearts and stars also decorates the bale with aurora borealis cubic zirconia stones set into each one. The back of the charm is engraved with the message ’Love is the closest thing to Magic’.

Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
