What’s this? A new Nightmare Before Christmas charm! Jack Skellington looks as debonair as a skeleton as can posed within a silver frame. Set on a silver disc behind is a night scene depicting a full moon in yellow enamel on a shimmering pink and purple sky. Lots of interesting details decorate the bale of the charm including a scary spider sitting on its web. The bale is also engraved with Jack’s famous phrase ’What’s this?’. Also a tiny witch is stamped on the side of the bale between the hallmark. I predict this being a very popular charm.

Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
