The Sleeping Moon & Stars Dangle reminds me of classic illustrations from children’s books. Hanging at the front of the double dangle is a friendly crescent moon sleeping peacefully. A scattering of stars form the background on a separate silver disc. Three of the stars are adorned with clear cubic zirconia stones while the others are stamped onto the silver. The reverse of the charm is engraved with the romantic message ’You are my universe’.

Fakes are often well made. These checks help, but they do not replace an examination by a professional.

Hallmark

The stamp a genuine piece carries is shown above, next to the material. Good fakes copy the stamp, so also check its position and size.

Shape and details

Compare the piece with the photo above: outline, enamel colours, position and number of stones, lettering.

Magnet

Silver and gold are not magnetic. If the piece sticks to a magnet, it is not genuine.

Price

An offer far below the original price is a warning sign.

Packaging

A genuine box or receipt proves nothing about the piece inside it.

On VaultBase, the seller is paid only once you have received the piece.
